FIVE FRAGMENTS
MATT FORD
A Consideration, Pt. I
What are the merits of being a ho--
and that alone?
Just a ho?

A Consideration, Pt. II
There are many merits
say, a certain finesse
tricks with trade
whet on fresh flesh.
Lately, though, I fall limp
teleporting to
my phantasmic palace
where you abide, in bliss.

Get Free
Going the wrong way
on a one-way street
—Jhené Aiko
i often wonder why
i am so steadfast
in yanking my body from the air
clip my iridescent wings to
“preserve myself”
terrified of a euphoria untold

people
in full view,
smiles shine bright like life is deathless
kiki-ing and colluding in packs
gritting golden teeth in uniform
alone or in quiet company,
enflamed fingers singe photobooks
searching for semblances of past selves
prenups appendaged to futures
manicuring incessant catastrophes in fear of mystery
shaking the gifts under the tree
human beings are horrible creatures.

THE GLORY IS IN YOU
An Ode to Solange Knowles/Requiem for Myles Munroe |
A return to divine dynasty
means a return to Spirit
which is to say each day that you wake “Good morning” “I love you” “How do you do?” to the lineages of stardust bursting within you |
we search for signs to steer our paths but isn’t the sun already on? poor us we take for granted that creeping feeling the gut your knowing, your erotic, third eye and deem Spirit the essence by which we live as evil, unholy, devoid of dignity |
what a comfort it is to know the frequencies you ride are designed for you to thrive for we are celestial unhinged from space and time |
I am convinced this is the revolution only viewable in 5D right here, right now in beloved community: liberated from a dream of boundless joy in heaven to be lived without wings |
To kaleidoscope is to see oneself and others as integral to a cosmic network of infinite possibilities—and to be at peace with this fragmentation and welcome the frequencies that draw us all together.
